I am pleased to announce that Kate Nichols Quilts can now offer you a special series of custom products based on the works of reknown Raleigh artist, Keith Norval.Keith received his BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2000 and has since relocated to Raleigh. Keith works in his studio at Artspace and teaches painting and printmaking at the Pullen Arts Center, Raleigh. His work is found in public and private collections in the United States as well as Norway, Japan, England, and South Africa.. His innovative works are "ever changing", but his paintings always feature bright colors and lots of animals. He has created a dynamic cast of characters which are highly addictive. Their simplistic design and bold colors introduce levity and are guaranteed to make you smile. Currently, two Norval items are available for commissioning. As with his art, each will be a one- of-a-kind original "wearable art":
- Custom Aprons - these have been very popular hostess gifts and make great bridal shower and/or wedding gifts . These reversible aprons are made with 100% cotton materials and are machine washable and dryable. - "The Quilted Grid" - available in many sizes, each "block "contains a different Norval character. These can be used as wall art, or as quilts and can be commissioned in almost any size. They are designed for everyday use and are a favorite of children of all ages! Treated with a little TLC and they will last for generations.
